If it begins with 'S2', it's a Saffire 6 USB 2.0. If the serial number begins with 'SU', it's a Saffire 6 USB 1.1. You can determine whether you have a Saffire 6 USB 1.1 or Saffire 6 USB 2.0 by checking the serial number on the sticker on the underside of the unit.
